Lushan is most easily reached from Jiujiang, which is 15–20 minutes away by taxi or bus. From Nanchang, direct buses run from the main bus station and take about two hours. The mountain entrance is at the base; a ¥180 entrance ticket covers all sites within the park.
A cable car runs from the base near the southern entrance up to the Guling area, cutting the climb from about an hour to ten minutes. Alternatively, buses run from the ticket gate through a series of switchbacks to Guling Town at the summit. A weekly pass for the internal bus system (¥30) covers unlimited rides between sites and is strongly recommended over taxis on the mountain.
