Baicheng is connected to Changchun by train, with the journey taking approximately five hours on conventional rail. Bus services from Changchun take three to four hours and are a reasonable alternative. The city has a small airport with limited domestic connections.
From Baicheng, the nature reserves to the southwest (Xianghai) and northwest (Momoge) require a private vehicle or pre-arranged transport — there is no regular public transport to either reserve.
