Hua Yan Temple is a Buddhist temple on the south side of Baicheng, with traditional halls, courtyards, and a steady stream of worshippers during major observances. It dates from the early Republican period and has been laid out in a deliberately classical style.
For visitors, it is a calm contrast to the modern city and a useful stop before heading out to Baicheng's wetlands and grasslands.
