Getting There

Xingcheng has its own railway station on the Beijing–Shenyang main line and is about three hours from Beijing by regular train, or around two and a half hours from Shenyang. High-speed service is limited here — the main high-speed line passes through Jinzhou and Huludao without stopping at Xingcheng, so the conventional train is the standard approach. The station is about two kilometres from the old town.

From the station, the old town, beach, and mountain are all reachable by taxi or local bus. Ferries to Juhua Island depart from Xingcheng Port, about eight kilometres south of the city centre.
