The mausoleum is about 25 kilometres west of Yinchuan, accessible by taxi in roughly 40 minutes. There is no convenient public bus that goes directly to the site. Most visitors either take a taxi from Yinchuan (negotiate a return fare that includes waiting time) or join a day tour that combines the mausoleum with the Helan Mountain Rock Carvings a few kilometres further up the range.
The site is open from 8am to 6pm. Combined visits with the rock carvings are manageable in a single day with an early start. The park requires the shuttle bus (included in admission) for visiting the more distant tomb groups.
