Big River Wetland Park is a wetland and leisure area on the edge of Tai'an, with boardwalks, lakes, grassland, and reed beds. It is a softer counterpoint to Mount Tai's stone steps, better suited to a quiet walk, birdwatching, or a low-key afternoon outdoors.
The park has an ecological education angle as well as simple recreation. It is most worthwhile for travellers who have extra time in Tai'an or want nature without committing to another mountain route.
