Yuncheng has a railway station on the Longhai line with conventional services to Xi'an (about 2.5 hours), Zhengzhou, and Taiyuan. The high-speed station Yuncheng North is slightly outside the city on the Xi'an-Zhengzhou high-speed line, with trains to Xi'an in under an hour and to Zhengzhou in about 90 minutes. Airport connections exist from Yuncheng Zhangxiao Airport to major cities, though service is limited.
The Yongle Palace is about 40 km from the city, requiring a taxi or hired car — there is no convenient public bus service. The Guandi Temple at Jiezhou is reachable by local bus or taxi in about 40 minutes.
