Wuzhen divides its sights between the East Quarter and the West Quarter, each with separate admission tickets. The West Quarter has the better atmosphere for an overnight stay — guesthouses over the water, working craft demonstrations, and canal-side restaurants that keep serving into the evening. The East Quarter has more museums and historical sites clustered close together. Both are best explored early in the morning before tour buses arrive, or after 5pm when most day visitors have left.
