Yandangshan station on the Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed rail line is the most convenient arrival point, with trains from Wenzhou in under an hour and from Hangzhou in about two hours. From the station, a short taxi or bus ride takes you to the main park entrance at the foot of the mountains.
The park entrance town of Yandangshan has hotels and guesthouses, and visiting by high-speed rail from Wenzhou as a day trip is entirely practical — the train takes forty minutes from Wenzhou South station. An overnight in the park town, however, allows you to visit two or three of the separately ticketed scenic areas at a reasonable pace and to be there at dawn before the day-trip crowds arrive.
