Limassol's beach options split naturally into two zones. Close to the city, the beaches have wave breakers, organized facilities, and sun lounger rentals. Further out, particularly toward Pissouri to the west and along the road toward Pentakomo to the east, the coast gets quieter and more varied.
Eastern beaches show dark sand against white limestone formations. The far west brings rougher seas, pebble shores, and dramatic cliffs — some spots see barely anyone even in August. Lady's Mile, just west of the city opposite the Akrotiri salt lake, is a long, relatively undeveloped sandy stretch popular with windsurfers and good for birdwatching during migration season.
