Dili coffee is genuinely good — the country grows excellent arabica in the mountains around Maubisse and Ermera, and a handful of cafes in the city roast and serve it properly. Drinking is more limited: beer is widely available (Indonesian Bintang and the local Heineken-made Sabraco are everywhere) but there is no real bar scene outside a few expat hangouts.
