Letefoho is the most serious of Dili's coffee shops, named after the village in the highlands of Ermera that supplies most of its beans. The cafe roasts on site, sells beans by the bag, and pulls espresso to specialty standards — flat whites, single-origin pourovers, batch brew of the day.
The room is small, air-conditioned, and bright, with a couple of tables outside in the shade. They also serve light meals — bowls of rice with grilled meat, sandwiches — but most people come for the coffee, which is unambiguously the best in the country. A flat white runs USD 3.50.
