Kurnool is well-connected by rail and road. The railway station is an A-category facility on the main line and receives trains from Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and other major cities. Trains from Hyderabad take roughly four to five hours; from Bengaluru, around six to seven hours.
By road, Kurnool sits on National Highway 44, the major north-south route connecting Srinagar to Kanyakumari. Buses from Hyderabad (around four hours) and Bengaluru (around six hours) are frequent and reasonably comfortable on the express services. Private cars and taxis are useful for reaching outlying sights like the Belum Caves and Srisailam, where public transport connections are limited.
Kurnool also has the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, which began commercial operations in 2021, with services connecting it to a handful of Indian cities. Check current schedules, as routes on smaller regional airports can change.
