Kurnool's main draw for travellers is the surrounding countryside. The Belum Caves and the Mahanandi temple are the highlights; both can be reached as day trips, or the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation offers package tours combining several sites. The Eastern Ghats surrounding the district are also worth exploring for their forested scenery.
