Chor Minar is a 13th-century minaret from the reign of Alauddin Khilji, standing in the Hauz Khas area of South Delhi. Its name means "tower of thieves", a reference to the grim tradition that the severed heads of executed criminals were displayed through the tower's many holes.
It is a small stop, but a memorable one for visitors tracing Delhi Sultanate remains around Hauz Khas, Begumpur, and Mehrauli. The monument is easy to combine with Hauz Khas Complex.
