Dassam Falls drops through forested plateau country near Taimara village on the Ranchi-Tata road. It is one of the classic Ranchi excursions and makes sense if you want a waterfall trip that is easier to combine with other stops east of the city.
The setting is lovely, but treat the water with respect. The current can surge suddenly after rain, and local authorities sometimes issue warnings around the major Ranchi waterfalls in the monsoon.
