Ranchi's Rock Garden is a landscaped park built into a rocky slope above Kanke Dam. It is a very local kind of attraction: steps, viewpoints, sculpted corners, snack stalls, families taking photographs, and a broad view over the water.
Come late in the afternoon rather than in the heat of the day. It pairs naturally with Tagore Hill, which is close by, and gives a more social slice of Ranchi than the larger waterfall trips outside town.
