Sidlaphadi is a natural rock bridge and prehistoric rock shelter in the sandstone landscape near Badami. It is a minor stop compared with the caves, but it adds a useful prehistory layer to a town usually discussed through Chalukya temples.
Go only if you have a car or a special interest in rock shelters and landscape. The reward is not a polished attraction but a sense of how long this terrain has been used by people.
