Dharmadam Island is a small, palm-covered island off the coast near Thalassery. At low tide it can be seen close to Muzhappilangad beach, with river and sea water wrapping around its thick green interior.
Access is controlled, so check locally before trying to cross over, but even from the beach it is a pretty coastal landmark.
