Khandargiri is a group of Jain cave temples cut into the hills around Chanderi. The caves hold Tirthankara images and carvings made between the medieval and early modern periods, and the approach adds a little quiet hill walking to the visit.
It is worth seeing for both the religious art and the setting. Chanderi's monuments can feel urban and fortified; Khandargiri shows the town's devotional landscape spreading into the rock around it.
