The core of Omkareshwar is walkable once you arrive. Bridges link the banks and the island, while steps and narrow lanes connect the ghats and temples.
Use boats for short river crossings or views of the island, but agree on the price before boarding. The island parikrama is best done early, before the stone paths heat up.
