Omkareshwar is a pilgrimage town, so the important sights are temples, ghats, bridges, and the Narmada itself. The main shrine is essential, but leave time for the river circuit and the quieter south-bank temples.
Expect crowds around major Shaivite festivals and on auspicious Mondays. Outside those peaks, the town is best explored slowly on foot.
