Nashik is 170 km northeast of Mumbai. By road, the most common route is the NH3 (Agra Road) via the Kasara Ghat; the drive takes three to four hours depending on traffic leaving Mumbai. State buses and private coaches run frequently between Mumbai's various bus terminals and Nashik's CBS (Central Bus Stand).
By train, the nearest mainline station is Nashik Road, about 8 km south of the city centre, on the Mumbai–Manmad Central Railway line. Express trains from Mumbai's CSMT take around three to four hours. Auto-rickshaws and taxis connect the station to the city.
Nashik does not have a commercial airport. The nearest option is Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, from which road or rail connections onwards are practical. A small airstrip at Ozar, 20 km from Nashik, serves occasional charter flights.
