A quiet, relatively uncrowded stretch of coast near Nallasopara. The beach itself is nothing spectacular, but it sees far fewer visitors than Mumbai's famous beaches and has a genuinely peaceful atmosphere. The shack Sheetal Samudra is a local favourite — hammocks, sea views, and a relaxed pace. The nearby Matoshree Chinese Centre is known for its soup.
Getting here from Thane: take a bus to Nallasopara, then board a Kalamb-Rajodi bus from Nallasopara bus depot (roughly Rs 7). Alternatively, take a private auto-rickshaw from Nallasopara station (bargain to around Rs 70–100). From Nallasopara you can also board a train on the Western Railway towards Virar if coming from Mumbai.
