Museum of Justice

The Museum of Justice, housed in the old wing of the Orissa High Court, is one of only a handful of judicial museums in India and a quietly worthwhile stop. It documents the history of the courts in Odisha from the colonial period through to the present, with original case files, judges' robes, photographs and a small collection of furniture from the early courtrooms.

It is more interesting than it sounds — the cases on display include trials from the freedom movement and from the years immediately after independence, and the building itself is a fine piece of late-colonial architecture.
