Bundi is best visited from October through March, when temperatures are comfortable for walking the old city and climbing to the fort. December and January can be cool at night but are ideal days for sightseeing. Summer (April–June) brings extreme heat that makes outdoor exploration genuinely difficult.
The monsoon (July–September) turns the surrounding hills green and fills the lakes and step-wells to dramatic levels — photographers appreciate this season, though roads can flood and humidity is high. The Kajali Teej Mela festival in August is a lively local event celebrated with processions and music, worth timing a visit around if you're travelling during the monsoon.
