One of the most famous breakfast spots in Haridwar, operating near Har Ki Pauri since the 1940s. The speciality is aloo puri — deep-fried bread served with a spiced potato curry — accompanied by halwa and a cup of strong chai. The simplicity is the point: this is what pilgrims have been eating before their dip in the Ganges for generations.
The stall opens early in the morning and often runs out by mid-morning, so arrive before 9am for the best experience. Prices are very modest. Sit on the shared benches, eat quickly, and move on — this is not a place for lingering over coffee.
