Kanatal is small. Most travellers come for the walks in the surrounding forest, a short trek up to the Surkanda Devi temple, and a half-day visit to the Tehri Lake. Camp-and-resort operators offer rappelling, climbing walls and zip lines for weekend groups out of Delhi — pleasant for kids but not really why you would come up here on your own.
