Mussoorie is 35 kilometres from Dehradun, the nearest major city and the region's transport hub. From Dehradun railway station or the ISBT bus stand, shared taxis and buses run regularly to Mussoorie. The road climbs steeply through the foothills and takes around an hour depending on traffic; on weekends and holidays, congestion can double the journey time.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, with flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and a few other Indian cities. From Delhi, the most comfortable option is the overnight train to Haridwar or Dehradun, followed by the road to Mussoorie. Driving from Delhi takes around six to seven hours.
Vehicles are restricted in the centre of town; you will likely park below and walk up or take a shared vehicle.
