Ramabhar Stupa

Ramabhar Stupa is traditionally identified as the cremation site of the Buddha. The large brick mound stands in open grounds outside the main temple cluster, giving it a quieter, more spacious feeling than the Parinirvana Temple.

The stupa itself is austere, but the setting carries weight. Pilgrims circumambulate the mound, monks chant under trees, and the distance from the town's traffic helps the place feel properly reflective. It is best combined with the Parinirvana Temple on the same morning.
