The Relic Distribution Site is traditionally associated with the division of the Buddha's relics after his cremation. There are no ancient remains visible, but a small shrine with a Buddha statue marks the spot.
It is quieter and less visited than Kushinagar's main pilgrimage sites, so it is best treated as a short reflective stop while exploring the wider Buddhist circuit around town.
