Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport connects Kolkata to major Indian cities and a growing number of international destinations, including direct flights from London, Bangkok, Singapore, and Dubai. From the airport, prepaid taxis and the Airport Express metro line get you into the city center in about an hour.
Kolkata is also a major rail hub. Howrah Station, one of the largest in India, handles trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and most other cities. Sealdah Station serves routes to the east and northeast. Both stations are well connected to the metro and local transport.
