Mysore Garden

Mysore Garden is a small South Indian memorial landscape in south Kolkata, tied to Chamarajendra Wodeyar X, the maharaja of Mysore who died in Calcutta in 1894 while visiting the British viceroy. A ghat, garden, and Vishnu temple were built near the Keoratala cremation ground in his memory.

The site is quiet and specific rather than a headline attraction, but it adds an unusual layer to the Kalighat and Alipore area for visitors interested in Kolkata's cross-regional history.
