The RBI Museum explains the history of money in India, from barter and cowries through coins, paper currency, banking, stock markets, and electronic payments. It is housed in the old Reserve Bank of India building near BBD Bagh.
The subject is narrow but well suited to Kolkata's old financial district. It makes a good indoor stop while exploring the colonial-era streets around Dalhousie Square.
