A Kuta institution since 1969, opened by Ni Made Masih in what was then a fishing village and run by the family ever since. The original Kuta branch on Jalan Pantai Kuta is open-fronted, busy from lunch onward, and the menu runs from proper nasi campur — a heaped plate with rice, satay, vegetables, sambal, and a fried egg — to Western dishes for the homesick. Prices are mid-range for Kuta; the food is consistent.
Tables in the front row catch the breeze. The Seminyak branch is larger and slicker, but the Kuta original has the better history.
