Yellow Bridge

The Yellow Bridge links Nusa Lembongan with Nusa Ceningan across the narrow channel between the islands. It is only wide enough for scooters and pedestrians, which gives it a pleasingly informal feel: temple traffic, surfboards, delivery bikes, and visitors all squeeze across in single file.

The bridge is not a major sight in itself, but it is the hinge of the island pair. Cross it for Ceningan's cliff views, beach bars, and quieter lanes, or stop briefly for photographs of the channel and seaweed plots below.

A story
The bridge became a symbol of the islands after the original crossing collapsed in 2016 during a religious procession, killing several people. The replacement was rebuilt in the same bright yellow, and locals still treat it as both infrastructure and memorial.
