The paved promenade that runs along the back of Sanur Beach is the single most-used piece of public infrastructure in the town. From early morning, joggers, cyclists, surfers carrying boards, breakfast vendors, and street masseuses share five kilometres of seafront from the northern end at the Bali Beach Hotel down to the harbour at Pantai Mertasari. Bike rentals are everywhere and cheap; the morning ride past coconut groves, beachfront temples, and floating-leaf-eyed dragon boats is the classic Sanur experience.
