Panama Tea Plantation

Photogenic tea slopes on the road into the Dieng highlands

Panama Tea Plantation is a scenic stretch of tea country on the approach to the Dieng Plateau. The rows of clipped tea bushes run across rolling green hills, making it an easy stop for photographs when the weather is clear.

There is a restaurant nearby, and small paid activities such as flying fox rides and ATV trips are sometimes offered. The plantation is not a major sight on its own, but it works well as a short break between the plateau's temples, lakes, and craters.
