Telaga Warna is Dieng's coloured lake, a mineral-rich crater lake that can shift between green, yellow, blue, and milky tones depending on light and sulphur content. The nearby Telaga Pengilon makes the contrast stronger: one lake bright and strange, the other quieter and clearer.
The best views are from the surrounding paths and viewpoints rather than the edge alone. Go early, when the air is still and the plateau has not filled with day trippers.
