Klayar Beach

White-sand beach with sculpted coral rocks, sea stacks, and a wave-powered blowhole.

Klayar Beach is Pacitan's postcard beach: pale sand, turquoise water when the weather behaves, and jagged coral formations that make the shoreline more dramatic than a simple swimming stop. Its best-known feature is a blowhole that can shoot spray high into the air when waves hit the rocks just right.

Come for photos and the coastal scenery rather than a lazy resort day. The surf can be rough, and the rock shelves deserve respect.
