Pelabuhan Ratu Port is the town's working heart. Fishing boats come and go, gear is repaired onshore, and the waterfront gives a better feel for the place than the beach hotels alone.
Go early if you want the liveliest scene. It is a practical harbour, not a sanitised promenade, so wear shoes you do not mind getting dirty.
