Kampung Naga is a traditional Sundanese village in a green valley west of Tasikmalaya. Its houses are built from wood, bamboo, and thatch, and the settlement is known for keeping older building forms and village customs while the road and modern towns press in above it.
The visit involves walking down from the roadside into the valley, so it feels pleasantly removed from the traffic. Go respectfully, use a local guide if one is available, and remember that this is a living community rather than an open-air museum.
