Ujung Genteng Beach is not a polished resort strip. It is a working coastal village, with fishing boats, reef shallows, seafood places, and the quiet that comes from being several slow hours beyond the usual West Java weekend routes.
Use it as the base for the area rather than the only reason to come. The beach makes most sense when paired with Pangumbahan's turtles, surf, and the long road through Sukabumi's south coast.
