Tjilik Riwut Airport (PKY) is the main air gateway to Central Kalimantan, named after a Dayak Ngaju general who served in the Indonesian independence war. Multiple daily flights connect to Jakarta, Surabaya, Balikpapan, and Banjarmasin.
Taxis run into town in about 20 minutes. The terminal is modest but functional, with a couple of cafés and a tourist information desk.
