Gili Meno is the middle island in size and the quietest by a considerable margin. It has fewer restaurants and bars than its neighbours, almost no nightlife, and a pace that suits people who want to do very little at all. It is the island couples choose — honeymooners in particular — and the stretches of beach on the west side are among the least crowded of the three.
The reef on the northeast side has a submerged statue garden — dozens of human figures arranged in a circle on the seabed at about five metres depth — which makes for a memorable snorkel. A small brackish lake on the island's western side is one of the few places in Indonesia where you can see wild flamingos, though numbers are small and sightings are not guaranteed.
