The Dolphin Park on the north shore is both a performing dolphin facility and the departure point for boat trips into the Gulf to watch wild dolphins. The shows operate several times a day and are popular with Iranian families; the boat trips offer a better experience for travellers who'd rather see dolphins in open water.
The boat trips typically run an hour and a half and head north into the Strait of Hormuz area, where bottlenose and spinner dolphins are regularly sighted. Book at the park entrance. Evening trips can coincide with pleasant light over the water.
