Aminiha Hosseiniyeh is the surviving ceremonial heart of a wealthy 19th-century merchant house. The mirrored halls, coloured glass, and linked courtyards were built for Muharram mourning gatherings, but today they are most interesting as a glimpse of Qazvin's domestic architecture at its richest.
It is a small sight, but a good one. The appeal is in the details: the filtered light, the woodwork, and the way religious ceremony and household prestige were built into the same set of rooms.
