Qazvin's best sights are split between the old city and the Alamut mountains. In town, the bazaar quarter, the caravanserai, the Jameh Mosque, and a few restored historic houses make a compact walking route. For the mountains, start early and treat Alamut as a day trip with real road time, not as an add-on after lunch.
