The tea house within the Sa'dabad Palace complex gardens is a pleasant stop after visiting the palace museums — a simple outdoor setup with tables on the garden terraces, serving tea, coffee, and light food. The altitude (around 1,600 metres), the mature plane trees, and the mountain air make it significantly cooler than central Tehran in summer.
It is the kind of place where you can sit for an hour with a glass of tea and feel the distance between here and the city below. The garden setting — maintained with the same care given to the palace museums — is among the most serene in Tehran.
