The Mudhafaria Minaret is a 36-metre brick minaret from the late 12th century, built during the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Kokburi. Its octagonal base, decorated niches, and surviving shaft make it one of Erbil's key medieval landmarks outside the citadel.
